The Suzuki DR650 has some common issues to look out for. The Neutral Sending Unit (NSU) can be an issue as can the gear crank nut reductions, strange noises, countershaft seal oil leaks, issues with 3rd gear, and frame damage from the chain drive roller. Since this bike does not have a water cooling system the oiling system must be periodically inspected to prevent overheating and engine damage.
